RACGP webinar: Optimising cervical screening for people with disability — supporting equity in your practice

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), in partnership with the Daffodil Centre and the Centre for Disability Studies, is presenting a webinar on optimising cervical screening for people with disability.

The session is presented by cervical screening experts Prof Deborah Bateson and Dr Lara Roeske, with personal insights from Tricia Malowney, a disability advocate who has post-polio syndrome.

The webinar will:

  • explore cervical screening barriers
  • discuss strategies and techniques to support cervical screening for patients with disability, including those with intellectual or cognitive disability
  • equip you with a range of tools and resources that can be built into your practice to better engage with people with disability and improve their participation in the National Cancer Screening Project.

How to join the webinar

A recording of the webinar will be made available on the NCSP Healthcare Provider Toolkit for you to watch in your own time. (This recording won't be available before 18 July 2024.)

If you would like to attend the live webinar on Thursday 18 July 2024 at 7pm, please register through the RACGP website.

Continuing professional development (CPD) hours are available for healthcare providers who attend this webinar.
