Supporting high-quality telehealth services in general practice: New education modules now available
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, patient and clinician expectations around care delivery of telehealth services have changed. Recognising that no 2 telehealth consultations are the same, the Academic Unit of General Practice at the Australian National University has created a series of training modules to:
improve telehealth practices
help general practitioners (GPs) and GP registrars enhance their approach in the evolving telehealth space.
About the telehealth training modules
Designed for flexibility and ease of use, the modules support small group learning in a range of settings, including:
in-practice meetings
supervisor-registrar sessions
peer discussions.
Each one-hour module is supported by a facilitator guide, participant materials, and flexible delivery formats including PowerPoint and mobile-friendly PDFs.
There are 5 modules in total, with each module designed to spark meaningful conversation and idea-sharing among GPs and practice staff.
