Event description
Brisbane South PHN and Metro South Health (MSH) are working together to improve the health of people with disability. They are using what they learned from the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability.
The Disability Health Forum (the Forum) aims to make it easier for people with disability to access health services in Brisbane South, Logan, Redlands and Beaudesert.
The objectives of the Forum are to: 
talk openly about issues affecting health, wellbeing and access to healthcare for people with disability
build relationships between people with disability, health workers and disability community leaders
work together to make people with disability healthier.
AUDIENCE:
There will be members who:
- Have lived experience of disability
- Are carers
- Are family or friends of people with disability
Other invited attendees will be:
- disability peak bodies e.g QDN, Carers QLD
- disability advocacy services e.g. ADA Australia
- government agencies e.g. QLD Dept of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services
- academic research partners. E.g. Griffith Uni
