Coorparoo Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) opens 26 February 2026
People living in south-east Brisbane and surrounding areas now have greater access to free, walk-in healthcare for urgent medical conditions with the opening of the new Coorparoo Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC). The clinic is the third to open in as many months for the region, joining the recently opened Carina-Carindale and Capalaba Medicare UCCs.
The newly opened clinics brings the total number to 6 Medicare UCCs that are now open to serve communities across Brisbane South PHN’s region.

Coorparoo Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) location and operating hours
The Coorparoo Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) is located at 332 Old Cleveland Road, Coorparoo.
It operates from 8 am to 10 pm, all 7 days of the week.
Patients do not need an appointment or referral to attend the clinic. They can walk-in and wait to be seen by the clinic’s experienced doctors and nurses for bulk-billed (free) urgent health care.
The service is intended to complement existing general practice and emergency services, not replace them.
Delivering urgent care services to our region
The new Medicare UCCs in Coorparoo, Carina-Carindale and Capalaba now join 3 existing Medicare UCCs in the Brisbane South PHN region: Logan (Browns Plains) and South Brisbane, both opened in 2023, and Oxley, which opened in 2024.
This network of Medicare UCCs works to improve patient access to timely urgent care across the Brisbane South PHN region, helping to ease pressure on local hospital emergency departments.

About the Medicare Urgent Care Clinic service model
Commissioned by Brisbane South Primary Health Network (PHN) and funded by the Australian Government, Medicare UCCs are operated by general practice providers and treat urgent, non-life-threatening medical conditions that do not require care in a hospital emergency department. No appointment or referral is needed, and all services are bulk billed (free).
Medicare Urgent Care Clinics provide care for a range of urgent, episodic conditions such as minor fractures, burns, cuts requiring stitches, and infections. The clinics offer a bulk-billed, walk-in alternative to hospital emergency departments for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, ensuring people can access the right care, at the right place, at the right time.
