The National Lung Cancer Screening Program is a national initiative designed to detect lung cancer earlier and improve outcomes for people at higher risk of one of the leading causes of cancer death in Australia. However, some communities may experience barriers to accessing screening due to stigma, cultural considerations, social factors and geographic location.
Join a free CPD-accredited webinar that explores how healthcare professionals can support equitable access to lung cancer screening by taking practical steps to create safe, inclusive and supportive clinical environments.
Expert speakers will share insights on supporting patient populations who may face additional barriers to participation in the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.

New quality improvement (QI) cancer screening toolkit for general practice
Brisbane South PHN has launched a new cancer screening toolkit designed to assist general practices to increase participation in national screening programs for cervical, breast, bowel and lung cancer.

This new quality improvement (QI) toolkit can help support your practice to:
increase screening rates by identifying eligible patients
promote early detection to improve patient survival outcomes
streamline workflows for more efficient patient data management
deliver evidence-based care that achieves high-quality, patient-centred outcomes
advance equity by implementing strategies to reach under-screened or never-screened patient populations.
