HealthPathways personal accounts to replace shared login. Register your free personal HealthPathways account today
Key updates:
Brisbane South PHN is advising all Brisbane South HealthPathways users that access to the platform is changing, with personal accounts set to fully replace the existing shared, universal login.
From Monday 29 June 2026, the universal login will be retired. Clinicians who have not registered for an individual account will no longer be able to access HealthPathways using the universal login.
Clinicians are encouraged to ensure they have registered for a personal account to maintain uninterrupted access and take advantage of the enhanced features now available through HealthPathways.
The move to personal accounts is part of a broader upgrade to enhance security, usability and functionality across the platform.
Brisbane South HealthPathways shared login to be decommissioned. Personal accounts to replace shared login from June 2026
Brisbane South HealthPathways transitioned away from a shared login model to individual personalised accounts, beginning November 2025.
From Monday 29 June 2026 the transition period will end, which means:
the shared universal login will no longer be available
all users must log in using their individual HealthPathways account details.
Primary healthcare clinicians working in the Brisbane South PHN region are encouraged to sign up for their free personal account now to avoid any disruption to their access to localised referral pathways and health service information for patients.
All HealthPathways users will be required to register for their own account to continue accessing the platform from 29 June 2026. This shift enhances security and enables a range of new features designed to improve the user experience.

Why sign up for a personal HealthPathways account?
HealthPathways provides clinicians with evidence-based guidance on the assessment, management and referral of a wide range of health conditions.
Developed collaboratively by local general practitioners (GPs), hospital clinicians and clinical subject matter experts, the platform is tailored to reflect health services and patient referral pathways specific to the local region a clinician works in. Clinicians can access clear, step-by-step pathways alongside information about local services, eligibility criteria and referral processes, helping to streamline patient journeys and improve health outcomes.
Personalised HealthPathways accounts introduce a range of improvements to support clinicians in their daily practice, such as:
continuing professional development (CPD) tracking, allowing clinicians to record their use of HealthPathways as part of their ongoing learning
improved search capabilities, including AI-powered tools to help users find relevant pathways more efficiently
options to view localised information across multiple PHN regions (ideal for clinicians who practice in locations across multiple PHN regions, or locations that border PHN regions).
Further benefits of Brisbane South HealthPathways
Public health alerts and important information relevant to the local region are made available on the Brisbane South HealthPathways homepage, allowing clinicians to receive that information in one place.
The GP to GP Referrals page on Brisbane South HealthPathways lists GPs who have undergone extra training to provide specific procedural or therapeutic services such as iron infusions, skin lesion excisions and IUD insertion and removal, and more. GPs can use this page when patient care sits outside an individual GP’s scope but remains within primary care capability, offering a practical referral option and timely access to care for the patient.
GPs who offer procedural or therapeutic services and are willing to accept referrals are encouraged to complete the online listing request to be included on the GP-to-GP Referrals page.
