Help us improve dementia care: Participate in a remunerated 1-hour interview

This week marks Dementia Action Week (16 to 22 September). Dementia is Australia’s second leading cause of death, affecting approximately 411,100 people in 2023, with numbers expected to double by 2058. In the Brisbane South PHN area alone, an estimated 15,445 people live with dementia.

Share your professional insights on dementia care

With General Practitioners (GPs) playing a crucial role in the diagnosis and management of dementia, Brisbane South PHN is asking local GPs to participate in a remunerated 1-hour conversation aimed at improving dementia care within our region. We have engaged Beacon Strategies to lead the interviews for this initiative.

GPs will be renumerated for their time with a payment of $200+GST upon completion of the interview. Please note that spots are limited.

Data and insights gathered through the interviews will help us identify the barriers and challenges in delivering dementia care to improve early diagnosis and management through:

  • future workforce capacity building
  • health program commissioning efforts.
