Support kit for GPs providing quality palliative care

Providing compassionate, person-centred care at the end of life can be a demanding area of practice for clinicians. CareSearch has developed a GP Kit, designed to support general practitioners (GPs) with care planning, assessment and communication for patients coming to the end of their life as well as their families and carers.

About the CareSearch GP Kit

The CareSearch GP Kit offers GPs practical, evidence-based tools to guide the palliative care they provide for patients and their families. It covers topics such as:

  • assessing patient and carer needs

  • planning and discussing care

  • managing symptoms

  • supporting dying patients

  • addressing bereavement

  • best professional practices.

Each kit also includes a resource pack that can be shared directly with patients and their families and carers.

GPs can order a printed version of the kit or download the resources directly from the CareSearch webpage.
