Recognition of Lived-Living Experience

Recognition of Lived-Living Experience

We honour and value the voices of those with Lived-Living Experience of mental health challenges, suicide, and substance use. Their insights are vital in shaping services that are compassionate, inclusive and responsive to community needs.

We also acknowledge the experiences of families, carers, and support networks who walk alongside individuals, often facing their own challenges. Their perspectives help us understand the broader impact and guide meaningful system change.

We are committed to genuine partnership, ensuring Lived-Living Experience remains central to everything we do.

Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, Alcohol and Other Drug Services

Brisbane South PHN commissions a range of mental health, suicide prevention, and alcohol and other drug services across the Brisbane South region. These services are designed to be person-centred, culturally responsive, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our communities.

Using a stepped-care approach, we support access to the right level of care at the right time — from early intervention to more intensive support. Services are available in various formats, including face-to-face, online, and through community-based providers.

Explore the tiles below to learn more about available services, tools, resources, and regional strategies that guide our work.

Please note: We are a commissioning organisation and do not provide direct clinical or crisis support. If you are looking for help, please refer to our Service Directory or see the Mental Health Support lines below for immediate support options.
