Mental Health and Psychosocial Services

Our Brisbane South PHN mental health planning and commissioning is guided by a stepped care approach, ensuring individuals receive the right level of support based on their current needs. This model allows for flexible, person-centred care — with the ability to step up or down in intensity as required.

We commission services in response to the mental health priorities of the Brisbane South region, aiming to improve access, equity and outcomes for our diverse communities.

General Practice Services Guide

To support general practice teams in Brisbane South, we’ve developed a downloadable guide outlining commissioned mental health, psychosocial, suicide prevention, and alcohol and other drug services. This resource helps GPs and practice staff navigate available supports and make informed referrals aligned with the stepped care approach.
